Kugelhupf-Pound Cake

  • 5 eggs
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp. baking powder
  • Rind of 1 lemon
  • Equal weights of butter, flour and sugar (ie. the weight of 5 eggs)

Pound cake is a kind of cake where you have equal amounts (often a pound) of ingredients, typically flour, butter, and sugar. Cooking pound cake is so easy! This recipe is a variant on a basic pound cake.

You will need a scale to measure equal weights of eggs, butter, flour and sugar. Cream the butter in a Cuisinart or mixer, add the sugar and mix. Then add eggs and mix. Add juice & rind of 1 lemon, and baking powder. Bake 1 hour at 350°.
